Welcome to my music site: Susan Gerofsky Music

Hello everyone! This site will showcase some of my music -- mostly traditional songs and dance music from Canada and other parts of the world, along with some of my original tunes.

Background: I have played and performed with a number of different folk and traditional bands over the past 30+ years, including the following (with links to videos of these bands): 

• Tiddley Cove Morris (English trad dance music, playing melodeon and whistle) since 1992
• Sospiro Misterioso (Canadian & European trad dance music and song, playing melodeon and whistle) since 2007
• The Red Cardigans (Welsh and English folk tunes, melodeon and whistle) since 2021
• Hornby Island trad music jam (melodeon and whistle) since 2016
• Orkestar Slivovica (Balkan brass trubaci, playing baritone horn) 2009- 2016
• Reed Isle trio
• The Mandelbrot Set duo
• Grist to the Mill (British Isles and Irish trad tunes) 2001- 2010

Through all these experiences, I have a very large repertoire of sing-along songs, dance tunes and traditional airs from Canadian and international sources. I've recorded a few of them here, in shorter versions, though the full version of each tune would be 3-4 minutes long. I will have no problem offering three 45-minute sets each day with a variety of tunes and songs.

I have a strong folksinging voice and can lead people with confidence in learning and singing sing-along tunes. I am an educator and taught music in high school for several years, and I am good at leading people in workshops and relaxed, participatory activities.
